There's all this 'hype' over peanut free products now.... i'm 26 now, but when i was in school, there was no such thing as peanut concern. For manufactures to be dedicating plants that are now 'peanut free'... it's like superman and kryptnite... is this for real????

So luckily no one has died... and up to this point in time, people have been horrificaly living in a peanut society.... until now. There's no cure for cancer, but hey, we have peanut free chocolate bars now. Fantastic.

No, I don't know anyone who met with this kind of unfortunate end.

However, peanut allergy is a very serious condition. Even minute traces of peanut can bring on a full-blown attack in those allergic to it. The attack is acute and severe. It can lead to death in a very short time.

This IS for real.

If it weren't so, there wouldn't be laws requiring food manufacturers to specify whether their plants also handle peanuts and peanut products.

The good thing is that not many people have this allergy.

Some little kids are really allergic to peanuts, I'm not sure if anyone has every died but I think it may be possible. The manufacturers are afraid of lawsuits.
