I love real butter and Smart Balance Light. I steer clear from most margarines, Brummel and Brown being one exception.

Smart Balance is great, regular or light, and it doesn't have the trans fats of most margarines. Butter tastes the best, of course, but it is high in saturated fat. I agree with your choices.

I usually eat real butter because i've heard that margarine is only one molecule away from being the same as plastic and, well, I don't feel like trying to digest something that close to plastic!

i always use lurpak cause it's the only one i found that's made of butter, oil, water and salt only. it doesn't have any preservatives, thickeners, sorbates, e's etc that all others have. so i think it's not bad for you at all and it's much easier to spread than real butter.

Dairy blend is good and it does not go as hard as butter in the frig...
