With my second pregnancy, i started having nose bleeds. After many visits to the different doctors that could help, a new doctor at Elmhurst Hospiital in NY told me to use a little bit of vaseline plain in each nostril.
That was 30 yrs ago, and it has also worked for my children and grandaughter.

You should never tilt your head back to stop a nose bleed .... it NEVER works!!! Try it, see if I'm lying!
Depending on how you got the nose bleed:
In a fight or by accident messing around with friends/siblings: Lean forward, blow your nose and it should stop.
Cocaine use: STOP using cocaine
Unknown: Could be a sign of a bigger problem or simply allergies; take an antihistamine and/or go see a doctor

Lean your head back and put ice on your nose. The coldness will cuase the bleeding to stop faster.

lean forward and pinch tightly near the top of your nose for a few minutes to allow the blood to clot and stop the bleeding.
After the bleeding has stopped you can blow out the bloody clotted mucus that built up.
You don't want to lean back, blood will simply run down your throat and won't clot as quickly.

I have heard that you do not put your head back to stop the bleeding. Cold wet towels on the area and as one said, "let it run its course"

The doctor said I wouldn't have so many nose bleeds if I kept my finger outta there

verify his nails are clipped short so as that this is confusing for the nails to make the nostril bleed. additionally, perhaps his nostril is dry interior, might clarify the bleeding. Saline purely nostril spray might help with the dryness, you may get that at any drugstore, only verify it is the saline purely style. desire it enables!!!

Stop sniffing cocaine, poking your nose, fighting.
Go see your doctor if you have frequent nose bleeds.

you can put a dish rag or piece of paper towel and put it between your upper lip and gum and it will stop
