Jesus said in John 14-16 that the Holy Spirit will give you the words you need and the understanding you need when you need it. Don't worry, but just trust Him. He has never failed me and He will never fail you.

I see that some people just quotes bible,..or didnt give explicit answer,..some times they give u answer..by asking a question or making a general statement.That make u more confuse.
Anyway,..i try to answer ur question,...as easy and directly as possible.
The Holy Spirit is with u,...u can understand HIM,..by feeling HIM in ur daily life,..for eaxample:
1.U pray for some purpose,...then it was realize...
2.U pray for some purpose,...it wasnt realize,...but some time later,...maybe years,..u know that ur purpose might endangered you,...so HE didnt realize ur pray.
3.U want to do something bad,..but ur heart say NO,...Holy Spirit talk to ur heart.
4.U want to go to some place,...but ur heart feel sad,..not right,...afterward u know..that u were warned...Holy Spirit save u
5.Mostly in the time when u sad,..u alone...when seems no body care,...their come HOPE,...thats from Holy Spirit,....it might logically explain by common sense,..but it was from HIM.
6.in conclusion,...all good things,...all happiness..in ur life come from HIM.

So, obviously, the Holy Spirit is not with you.
