I have only about two thousand to spend and am looking to buy a very economical vehicle, preferably a manual trans., import, 4 cylinder, front-wheel drive. Around 120,000 miles. I've bought a few cars in the past that haven't done well at all and I need this for college. The make or model doesn't matter. In any case, I'm selling the one I have too.

You named the Chevrolet Prizm exactly.

Don't gag at the name or maker as it is really a Toyota Corolla. Look under the area of the rear license plate and you will see TOYOTA.

Most are 2k less than a Corolla and have all the items you metioned, even price. But being a Toyota it will run and run.

Porsche's new Cayman S makes the list, as does the Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang GT, Honda S2000, Pontiac Solstice and Mazda MX-5.

Try to go for a 92-95 Honda Civic. It's fwd, 4 cyl, and a gas saver.

if you buy a honda, it will fit all your criteria, also, service them well and they last forever, i had an accord that was 13 years old with 220000 on the clock and it ran perfectly, i only upgraded to a brand new civic cos they were cheap and awesome, but you can't go past any honda.
