I just experienced it couple of days ago when i tasted an expired fruit yougurt....the taste was a bit sour just 2 days after it expired, i did'nt realised at first, but after tasting it i had a bad feeling....dont risk your life just for few pennies.....

I would say just chuck it out as soon as it expires....and keep it away from your pets if u have any, specially cats as it contains active bacteria...

I really dont think that the sell-by date on the packaging is precise. I think that they add some time just to be safe. Perhaps you will be able to eat the yogurt after 1 day of opening it & after the sell-by date has expired. Be sure to refrigerate it & seal it for extra life. You will know if it has gone sour by its smell & taste.

two days after the date

There is always some leeway with expirations dates and it does vary by product. Four days refrigerated is always a good rule of thumb. Nature's tools, the eyes and nose, are a good judge for these types of things. You are assuming the product is not contaminated to begin with. I did find a site with some rules at http://members.tripod.com/BRENDA3/surprising_expiration_dates.htm

Good luck with the gamble.

confident, you could, yet you probability getting unwell. The date is there for a reason. products that comprise eggs can rather make you unwell if the product has no longer been stored wisely. in basic terms bear in suggestions this previous adage: whilst uncertain, Throw it Out.
