I got a bill that comes to 18.44, and I want to know how much you would give the driver with a bill that comes to 18.44. Would you hand him a 20, and tell him to keep the change?

I usually give four or five dollars for the pizza delivery man, because they don't make enough money and have to buy their own gas. Also, I usually call rather late at night and live up three flights of stairs, so I deffinatly feel he deserves it.

In small town Wyoming, we hoped for a $2 tip on every run. Most of the time we got stiffed. A few people who had family who had delivered pizza would tip $5 and they got the best service.

In Colorado (metro Denver area), I'm told that $3 to $5 was a fair tip. It depends a lot on the area of the country you are in and the cost of living.

some pizza places automatically add on a fee for delivery (there's one in my neighborhood that charges 2 bucks for delivery - and they're a national chain).

if 18.44 was the total, and they don't add on a deliver fee, i'd give him about 21-22 bucks.

Depends on how much money I have. WHen its raining hard or snowing heavily, I try to give more. The change to the 20 is usually what they get.

20.00 - 18.44 is only 1.56. That sucks I would give him at least 3 bucks, so I would give him 22.00

You should hand him the twenty buck and than add another 0.44 cents.. The two buck is just enough for his two leg effort to walk to your doorstep... IF it is your legs who do the walking, sure you will spend more than that thru and fro the pizza outlet...

I always give the driver at least $3. My friend used to do that and they usually don't get sqat for tips. Besides you didn't have to use your gas and car to go get it.

you should give him around three dollars...
Your tip was not enough.. you didnt even give him a 10% tip, the average tip is between 15 and 20 percent!

No, not at all. I would never let him take the change away. Of course I would give him/her some tips like for example, $1
