Wow, that's a loaded question.
First, don't use any weird fonts. Stick to the classics like Times New Roman and Arial.
Second, try to keep it to a single page. More than a page is often considered a faux pas.
Don't just list job titles--list successes you've had at every level while being promoted. Let your future boss understand how you've grown as an employee.
Have a "personal strengths" section listing your good characteristics as a person that might not be obvious on a resume. List things like, creative problem solver, detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture, and good listener.

One page always! You have to get your resume down to one page, but that doesn't mean it is general. You need to be direct and to the point of the job listing and the company. A resume only gets skimmed so it needs to be to the point and dynamic so it stands out and shows you have the education and experience for the position. Make sure it is clearly written and has NO typos. Have it looked at by as many people as possible who have experience with resumes and take all advice to mind even if you may not agree. Take resume classes at your school also. People who review resumes for jobs are very picky.

Just begin with a brief introduction and goals.
You should really start by outlining a brief of the places you've worked, dates and title/job description for each. Naming types of machinery and/or software that youre familiar with. Also may mention any schooling, charitable, or community assistance and such.
List the jobs with company, address and phone and some references if possible.
List your less tangible assests, capabilities such as working well with others, high energy, multi-tasking blah blah blah.
Well, its a start. You fill in the blanks and when you get a nice outline, you can edit it and add to it what you feel your future employer might like to hear about you. Look at the edited resume as if you are reading it from the employers chair. Good luck.

My best advice in making a resume is sell yourself. Don't be afraid to talk about yourself in a way that seems egotistical. The point of a resume is to make yourself look attractive to a potential company/boss. Good luck! You can do it, and I'm proud of you for branching out... I hate it when people stay in a job they aren't happy with.
