Yes, reincarnation is a componant part of Vedic knowledge, the only way to understand it, is to understand your real identity as an eternal spirit soul, rather then the material body. Vedic understanding must be learned in its entirity to gain knowledge of the science of reincarnation and release from the cycle of the repetition of birth and death.

With this in mind, there is no question that reincarnation is a reality, we, as individual spirit souls are reincarnating within these very bodies, the material body is composed of gross molecules and atomic particles,that are constantly changing, every seven years each cell is completely replaced, so the body we had seven years ago is different to the body we have now, this is reincarnation, even within this life.

At the end of this life when the gross material body is no longer operational, being simply a temporary biological machine, then the subtle material mind replays the events of one's life, those events in one's life that are most prominant propel the spirit soul, the real self, to the next destination, the basis for this to happen is by the activities that we perform and the desires that are most prominant, man proposes and God disposes.

If we live a spiritual life, with activities and desires to please the Supreme, then the original spiritual body is revived and we can return home, back to Godhead, however if the desires are more worldly then we will attain another material body perfectly suited to the mentality that we have developed whilst being in the human form of life, therefore the knowledge of the science of reincarnation is of paramount importance to understand.

The early Christian church also taught reincarnation, up untill the 6th century A.D., in 553 A D when the Roman empire started to collapse, the emperor Justinian at the 5th Ecumenical council at Constantinople removed and altered the teachings of Jesus to gain more social control over the uneducated masses, by establishing the "scare tactic" of a singular life, as anyone who opposed these types of alterations was considered a heretic, it is not difficult to understand how these gross misconceptions came to be accepted.

Generally the memories of previous lives are eradicated when the soul leaves the previous body, otherwise it would be very difficult to function in this life with the attchments and memories of the last, the burden of these memories would be unbearable. The memories we carry around from just one life are sometimes sorely distressing. Multiply such memories manyfold, and they would surpass our ability to deal with them.

It is possible through meditation and past life regression techniques to recall these past lives and events, the decision to pursue this type of regression therapy should not be taken whimsically.

It is quite possible!

There are a host of methods that you can choose from. You can meditate and that will give you glimpses; or you may want to go to a Past Life Regressionist for a few sessions. But you need a lot of patience for that.

Remember that you are "energy" and according to the laws of Physics "energy" never dies. It can only be transformed from one state to another.

All things are possible under the sun. There are some who are more finely attuned to influences of that which has gone before. That's why we have DeJa Vu and dream of places, people and sights we think we never seen, and composers hear hear melodies and transpose them into 'new' music.
The belief in reincarnation is no more far fetched than most religions. In fact, on hearing some dogmas, reincarnation sounds quite reasonable.

Its very easy to say such and such thing is bullshit just because some religion says so or because it flies in the face of established dogma or thinking. Astronomers are now telling that that space, time & reality is not as strange as we imagined, but stranger than we can imagine.
My mother, in her research in dimensional mathematics once told me that objects can exist in any number of dimensions. This concept can easily explain the existence of ghosts or djinns or what have you, which can exist in higher dimensions or the existence of parallel universes & so on.
Anyway, in India there have been several well documented cases of reincarnation. In one case a girl (14 years or so) used to have recurrent dreams that she had been the wife of a man living in another town in her earlier birth. To cut a long story short, the girl was finally bought face to face with her "husband".
Her "husband" was convinced when she told him things only a wife would know.
Coming to your question, you can go to a hypnotist who will hypnotise you & get you to regress to your earlier birth(s). A word of caution- be careful - there are any number of fake hypnotists around who are bothered only about your money.

You HAVE had past lives - everyone has. But if you want to find the specifics of what those lives were, you need to find a hypnotic past life regressionist to help you out with that one. Its really imposible since you could've been anything in your past lives, but if you do have actual human flashbacks, theres a really low chance that you might have been well-known or you might have been a nobody.
