You might wanna read up on this suggestion a bit more but I suggest Plane Trees. They grow them in the city of London because there are especially good at surviving in polluted atmospheres, therefore they must be good are dealing with pollutants.

rather no the tree do use carbon which they take from the ambience and lock it away for that reason cleansing the air of carbon yet to apply this as an offset for carbon emissions we'd could quit cutting wood down on the entire planet for it to succeed occasion for each tree planted 5 are cut back down someplace else so the offset is beside the point the only genuine thank you to offset carbon emissions is to minimize them in the 1st place planting a tree on the grounds which you burn gas is like putting a plaster on a arterial bleed

You need to be more specific and provide more details:
what are your carbon emissions like?
where are u located?
what's the land type and acreage available?
Temperatures, climate, irrigation facilities...
The selection has to be good and professional if you want to offset Industrial level emissions.
Else, just plant whatever grows well, fast and huge in your garden

One's that fit your garden? A green hedge also contributes.
Seriously, they don't even have to be on your land. I have been redistributing acorns across a piece of rough land between two woods and the regrowth is coming along nicely.

Biggest one you can find and plant in the area you have available. I'm not kidding, think about it!
Fast-growing may be a virtue too.

Ficus family are easy to care for, easy to grow (fast growing) and they have very thick very green leaves that produce oxygen and consume CO2 during the light hours.
They also produce great shade!
