Well, I got tomorrow off so I could go to court to take care of a traffic ticket... And my grandparents called me today and told me tomorrow is Columbus day... So I'm trying to find out if I should go to work tomorrow and forget the courts or go to court tomorrow cuz it'll be open... HELP!!!

On your ticket there should be a phone number to the court office. Call it and see if there is a message stating whether or not they will be open due to the holiday. If that does not work call the city police dept. where the court is being held and ask them if there is still going to be court tomorrow. The officer should never have scheduled your court hearing on a day that the offfice is closed but oversights do occurr. Good luck.

Banks, homeland security, and the post office are all closed along with a number of schools. Best to get up early and call the court and then probably head into work.

No, they wouldn't be open. But go ahead and call in the traffic ticket (the court number) and the answering machine should provide you some options.

Tomorrow is Columbus day, all gov't offices and banks are closed for a day!!
