I'm 32 and female with long dark brown hair that grows about an inch a month! I got my first gray hair when I was about 25 :( Now, I have lots of it and find it really challenging to keep up with it (financially more than visually at times). The best thing I've found so far is to only get it fully highlighted about twice a year. This blends it as opposed to trying to really cover it up. When I do do a full color, it grows so fast I feel I waste my money after about 3 weeks when roots already start to show :( Anyone know of something that can be better than what I do presently? I don't plan on going au naturel for at least another 10 years!!!

This is an ageing problem however you can eat lot of curry leaves which controls premature greying.

I had to make this choice at age 33. I decided to have my long hair cut to shoulder length and have it heavily streaked. My hair also grows very quickly. Streaking works best and lasts the longest. I streaked with a very pale blonde and as I grew in the gray....it was so light it wasn't really noticed. My own color is/was a medium brown/blonde anyway.

I cut my hair because it was such a problem dying all that hair. I was never so happy in my life to be rid of it. People treated me differently....as an adult. I'd never grow it back...for anything. You choose for yourself. Streak it all...or cut it and streak much less. Good Luck

I hate this problem. I have the same. You can buy that men's beard dye and touch up quickly with the little brush. Be careful though, it goes on REALLY fast. You have to wash it right away and it's a little darker, so go with a lighter color than you think. I have alot of gray in my temples and use it for quick fixes.

I like what you are doing...blending a couple of times a year shoudl suffice. Be glad you have dark brown hair and can do that. I have black and have not way out but to just let it happen.

i'm a guy, maybe that's why i think i wouldn't bother if i was you,
i'd just make sure it was stylish, long or short, highlighted (but preferably not) your age is an asset, so long as you kept up your health by toning & stuff & let nuthin' else go, i'd go for a well maintained, bubbly personality over highlighted/not highlighted hair anyday...

Get a partial highlight, only on top, in between. That should help get you through and a partial will be less expensive.
Haircolor is wonderful, why look older than you have to!!!:)

Unless you want to do the coloring yourself at home, which is cheaper, I would stick with highlighting. I think it looks more natural anyway.

take a good quality multi-vitamin, MSM and co-enzymated B complex--not just sublingual B12. this should get rid of your gray.
