In the Old Testament, names were very significant and almost always held some significance to God's view of the personal purpose. However, I have never heard and would not believe that the number of letters or the name today would be anything more than of superstitious significance for the bearer. The meaning of names literally ceases to be included in the translation of the Bible after the Old Testament. The name begins to be far less significant as focus turns to the belief in the Savior.

It means your parents took the time to name you a special name, the whole "On Gods Side" business .. naw.. 7 means something with numerology, but not that.

Your name was given to you by your parents. Maybe it means something special to them, but God doesn't care what your name is. What matters is what you believe.

Where did you hear about this superstition? I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with how many letters you have in your name lol.
