My boyfriend (since like May) and I were partying the other night, and I was drinking and he got high. No biggie, but we ended up going back to my house when I sobered up, and I told him that I loved him. I have been the last one to admit anything in this relationship, being that I was the most against commitment, but alas, I fell in love. We were laying on the bed when I said it and his eyes were closed, and he said I love you too just like it was nothing, and that I should have kinda known that. I told him not to say it if he didnt mean it, and he said he did--eyes still closed.. So then we cuddled and... you know what comes next.. Since then, Ive wanted to tell him like all the time, but I havent yet. The fact is, I dont know if he even remembers saying it. Should I just get over it, and tell him when I want, or should I bring it up, or what? I guess Im just being insecure.. Help please.

i think you should confront him about what happened.. if he cant admit it, just accept it.. i know that it really hurts to know the truth but we really have to accept it.. and next thing that u have to do is break up with him.. coz it hurts also if u r the only one fighting for that love.. u can still find the right one for u.. there r a lot of guys in this planet and i know that there is someone out there for you..

First of all, you were in the right, when you said, "don't say it, if you don't mean it". And know that committment is right and that falling in love would happen eventually, you shouldn't have been closed to it. Now to the rest of your question. If he was still drunk, when at your place, when his eyes were closed, it's possible he doesn't remember it. But if he was sober, and his were closed, he might. But maybe he didn't mean it. On the same token, regardless of wether or not he meant it, he might've had his eyes closed, because they were hurting, or something. Why don't you some how, subtly remind him about that night, perhaps call it a dream, until he he gives signs that he remembers it, then admit it happened.

Why don't you tell him you love him again? That's the only way to solve this question you have. If he loves you too, he will say it. If he doesn't react or say I love you back then it depends on how long you have known him. Even if you've known him awhile, then it depends on how long you've been dating him. The important thing is don't rush him. Also, don't ask him if he loves you. This will put pressure on him and he may feel pressured to say it back before he's had a chance to sort out his feelings. Trust me, when he is good and ready, he will say it back. However, if you have been waiting for a long time for him to tell you he loves you and I mean a "long" time, and it's important for you to know, then move on.

My bf says you should say it again.
And my advice is that sometimes it's hard for guys to get that emotional, and so looking you in the eyes might have been too intense for him, and this is his way of letting you know, but still being guarded a little.

as bad of an idea as it was to go to a party like that, you're not asking for socializing tips...wait about a week or so, if he loves you, he will definitly let you know, if you say something like that to him and he answers sincerely there is no way he can keep on like nothing happened...make sure it was out of sincerity though
