Something where magnetism is used as the primary power and not transiently as it is today producing electrify.
Reason? It is the only source for electricity where sunlight is secondary and unreliable. Perhaps as a prime mover instead of other heat sources.

Small and Cheap Fusion Reactor and some way of moving faster than light.
I would like to note that the test fusion reactor (ITAR) they are building in France at the moment effectively runs on sea water - so I'm afraid your invention has already been invented.

I always wanted to invent a walking cane that also picked up dog poop. Like a multi-use cane. It opens up on the bottom, sucks up the feces and into a nice air-tight bag. Best of all it santitizes the floor and the cane so there's no smell or germs. I have too much time to think about these things.

If I was to invent something It would be an invention or something nobody has seen or heard of before. I would patent it to make sure no one else made one and I would never tell any one what it was so nobody else could copy it.

A portable toilet with a recycling system, which becomes fluids in energy. Easily transported and attached to the human body whenever neccesary.Of course, hidden to the naked eye.
