Are you implying that any change to one's body is not according to God's design? So correcting a cleft lip would be contrary to the way God wanted someone to look? I just can't take this kind of shallow "reasoning" seriously.

It was an Old Testament symbol of separation of the Israelites from the Gentiles (everyone who was not an Isralite) and a form of obedience. If the schmuck (foreskin) was already circumcised God would have had to come up with another physical symbol of separation.
The symbol is not required any longer since Christ abolished the law and became the circumcision for all who believe. Jew's and Gentiles being one in spirit through Christ's sacrifice.

He did not want all men circumsized.
The rite was used as a token of the Abrahamic Covenant, which gave the Jews favor above all other tribes or people.
It literally made the Jews different from other men, as God intended.

That is a sick religious belief; and they do it while we are babies so we cannot complain or stop them.

Women like it because it is easier to keep clean when we are babies.
