Mos def after!

This sounds too simple, but both.

Before, eat a complex carbohydrate 1-2 hours before your workout.

Afterwards, eat a simple carbohydrate (sugar) within 30 minutes and a protien within 45 minutes.

Try to increase your eating all day long, and make sure to eat some good protiens directly before going to sleep and right after waking up. You might have some digestion problems with this increase for awhile, but stick with it. The mass will come.

Good Luck.

In general you should be eating every 3 hours. So you would be eating about 2 hours before and then right after. The meal directly after is the most important one because this is when the muscles are depleted so you need to give them good food. That means plenty of protein, good complex carbs (moves the proteins to the muscles) and some good fats.

You should not work out on an empty stomach. Always eat something light before like a piece of fruit, bowl of cereal, or a piece of bread. After you need to eat a small meal. Always try to eat at least five mini meals per day. If you eat right your body will cooperate with you too.
