It got infected and I had to pack it until it healed. All is fine there. My question is, is it normal afterwards to have a menstral cycle that lasts 5 weeks at a time?
I saw my doctor about it 3 months ago and she said I'd had an adhesion on the inside but that it was nothing to worry about and I'm fine.
Well, now it's happening again, and the doctors keep telling me it's normal. Even the surgeon who did the c-section said I'm fine.
Does this sound right? This is all new to me.

yes this is normal .your body went through a lot. it takes time to heal. & scaring streach .as your body changes. your body will never be the same now that you had a baby.and as far as your menstral cycle go's your hormones have to get leavel off. sometimes the doctor will put you on pills to get your hormones back where they should be. just take care go slow & don't rush anything. good luck.

No, it doesn't sound right.. that's too long 5 weeks.. Go see another specialist if you can.. I had a C section..that didn't happen, my friend had one too ...with the infection issue too and she didn't have a 5 week long cycle..

that sounds pretty normal to me everybody is different. So that means after people have kids they have different experiences. and the more kids you have the more things go out of whack with your body . i would trust your doctors it doesn't sound like there is anything abnormal going on. But if you are really uncomfortable with their answers then try one more docs opinion. It won't hurt you to do so. i had two kids and with them my periods were long after wards and it seems like it is like that with most of my friends that are girls. so I hope this helps you out. Trust me your body changes after you have kids. things might not be the same anymore. (or they might be)
