Ignorance is the worst

Both recreational drugs have deletirious effects on health.

If you do research death rates you will find very few deaths attributed to marijuana or THC. However, if you consider the associated morbidity you will find that there is a higher rate of emphysema, bronchitis, asthma, AND LUNG CANCER in smokers of marijuana than in the normal population. The twist here is that marijuana unmasks mental illness and is associated with a higher rate of psychosis, particularly schizophrenia and related illnesses.

I am constantly amazed at the number of people who believe marijuana is healthier for you than tobacco. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50 to 70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than does tobacco smoke

There are many more deaths attributable to alcohol. This is particularly due to road traffic accidents with intoxicated drivers. The remaining mortality due to alcohol relates to liver disease and eventual damage to heart and brain. Alcohol leads to liver CIRRHOSIS which in turn can give rise to hepatic failure, hepatic encephalopathy and liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). It has directly toxic effects on the brain leading to Werneke's encephalopathy and Korsakoff's syndrome.

Alcohol by far.NO one has ever died from an OD from Marijuana.except for one person and it was change cos he had took an herbal supplement he was allergic too and he did not know.as you research this you will find that more deaths are caused by the use of alcohol than Marijuana. There are so many reasons why its illegal, but i'm not going to get into that.if I had the power to change the laws I would legalize Marijuana and make alcohol illegal.

I have never seen weed depending people.
Socially marijuana is seen as a deletable habit, whereas alcohol is socially accepted.
When someone is a drug depending person people talks about him as a marijuana- addict although he may actually be addict to crack.

Weed calms people down....chill with a group of high people and chill with a group of drunk people... drunk people don't have common sense. Alcohol reduces you to basic needs...like food, sex, sleep. weed on the other hand, you can still function on.
