There are a lot of reasons why a kitten could have diareah. Sometimes it is a disease.
You should probably take the kitten to the vet and have a fecal sample test done to see if it might have worms.
Also don't give the kitten cows milk, table scraps or change it's food.( I know you said you are feeding kitten chow, that is ok as long as you aren't giving it that other stuff)
Make sure the kitty drinks plenty of plain water until you can get it in to see the vet for the poopy test.

You said you have been feeding your cat kitten chow - have you been switching brands or do you use the same type every time? Cats get used to a certain kind of food and if you switch them over to another kind suddenly it can make them feel icky. This has happened with my cat before.

Your kitten needs to go to the vet .... as soon as possible.

Diahhrea can be deadly in a kitten .... so be very careful. It can be the sign of an infection, a virus, a parasite, worms, or an allergic reaction .... and you need a vet to tell you how to make your kitten better.

Purrs for your kitten .... hope he feels better soon!

sounds like worms but im no vet..if your giving it milk or soft food this will contribute to loose stools..try some pedialye and browned flour for a day or 2 if it doesnt help take it to the vet with a sample of the poopie to have test run..

No, don't give him electrolytes, just make sure he has plenty of access to clean fresh water. Stop giving him kitten chow and give him small amounts of boiled shredded chicken. Make sure you don't give him any milk products as all animals are lactose intolerant

Are you giving him milk?? If so that could be a reason for the cause.

Other than that....I would say he isn't perfectly healthy and you should take him into the vet. Worms or other parasites could be a problem.....I would take him in no matter what just to be absolutly sure he's okay!

Maybe the food brand you brought doesn't go well with it's digestion system. Did you recently switched it's food brand to something else. Cats are very sensitive when it comes to eating. Maybe you need a better, more expensive brand. I know for my cat she just need her diet changed up a bit. She is okay now.

If you are feeding him milk STOP.
Cats are lactose intolerant and only need water to drink.

If that is not the problem get him to the vet post haste, before he becomes too de-hydrated.

feed him 2 table spoons of plain cooked oatmeal twice a day for 3 days and that should take care of it. he can also eat his kitten chow too. give him plenty of water.

good luck and i hope this works for you like it did for me.
