Boils are an infection of the skin which is most commonly caused by Staphylococcus aureus.

If you have injured your skin, with a scrape or perhaps a cut from a razor
Or if you have impaired immunity, (HIV/AIDS or Diabetes mellitus) you could get infection in the skin which could develop into a boil.
Some people have a nasty condition called Hidradenitis suppurativa where they get recurrent boils.

i was told that a bug on the skin causes boils and u can buy a soap from the chemist i don't remember the name but it starts with GA u can use helps to get rid of and prevents u getting any more if u keep on using

It is a staph infection of hair follicles. The bacteria can get under the skin and go wild growing on the lubricant in the skin.

im not sure but i get them sometimes and i think its bc of an iron decfincency or if u get them under ur arms bc of infected hair follicle when you shave ..thats what i was told but if u apply hot compresses to them it will form a head and bust ..gross ewe! but thats what it does ...
