Because it's truely an awesome game. Basketball used to be my thing, and I can remember about two years ago making my case that golf is not a sport. Not only have I done a 180, but the golf swing a true athletic, and much more complicated than hitting a baseball or a jump shot. I love the game of golf. My first time was about the same as yours, and I was hooked. I was actually hooked from the moment I stepped foot on the driving range. Enjoy my friend, you have just made a wonderful relationship that can last a lifetime. Pass it on.

You probably hit the ball really well 1 or 2 times. If that was the case, you're hooked and can't wait to go back!
Enjoy golf, it's a great game!

It's a great game. I've been playing for 45 years, still stink, but still look forward to my weekly golf outing with my pals. A couple of good shots, a birdy or two (a month), breaking 90 once or twice a year... Hey, it's fun and you play in beautiful places. Start looking at a holiday in Scotland...

Sheer total embarrassment and total humiliation. You know you can do better and want to prove that. Golf is so great it is different every single day. You may be 40 over next time.. Good luck but do go to the practice range and putting green more often.

you probably hit a few good shots and that is what will hook you.
Dont be surprised if you start to watch golf on tv to try and see how you are supposed to play the game.
If you find the secret then you have accomplished something no one else has even the pros.

Congratulations. My first attempt recently was much worse than that.
I would guess that even though you weren't getting any birdies or eagles you were enjoying yourself and feel with practice you will improve.
Good luck
