I am travelling there to visit a freind , less than 12 days . Ticket price is really not the issue , just the Immigration ( passport ? Visas , who do I contact , etc.etc. etc)

You haven't said why you're going and what you want to know, so it's difficult answering. However, here is some basic information about the Philippines. If you're looking for cheap tickets, on the other hand, you should say so.

If you are a US citizen: PHILIPPINES - *Passport and onward/return ticket required. For entry through all international ports of entry, visa not required for transit/tourist stay of up to 21 days. A visa is required for longer stays and business.

Try Singapore airlines, they go to Davao in the south, Cebu in the middle & Ninoy Aquino International, in the north at Manila. I thought it was called some thing different, Manila is the gate way to the Philippines. It has close international ties with 'Singapore', thats who I planned my trip through, when I went to the Philippines.
Its an awsome experience, cheap, did I say CHEAP, they speak English no problems & they are really nice folk.

Contact a local travel agent. I would never book travel online. Plus they will hook u up w/ a passport and tell u what shots u need. Phonebook.
