Is there any thing I can do while I am cooped up in my apartment to lose weight and get in shape? I am 40 and in good health.

BMI should be between 20 and 25. 18 is actually underweight? In Paris (I think) they have just banned using models on the catwalk with a BMI of 18 or lower, as it is an unhealthy, low weight to be..look at the tiny size of some of those models for an idea of how skinny you actually are! Have a search for Body Dysmorphic Disorder as you may well display some of the symptoms. Best thing for you to do is go swimming, walking, anything that gets the heart pumping, as this will make you feel good, release the endorphins, and maybe help you see yourself in a more positive light.

once you are going to embark on a quickly and you have not tried it formerly, do not plan on a 5-6 day length. try 2-3 days and only verify you shop eating water (i understand you prefer to lose water weight, yet hydration is critical). additionally, this is a robust thought to nurish your physique with vegetable juices (like Odawalla Superfood or fruit juices mixed with grass juice - not out of your backyard ;) Abstaining from all nutrition will placed your physique in a threat starvation mode - making you income weight afterwards. a stable quickly isn't unavoidably risky, yet do it precise and understand your limits! Oh, and on the subject of your pores and skin, a quickly would help sparkling your pores and skin a sprint yet you will get extra valuable outcomes by making use of recovering your daily nutrition plan - removing subtle/sugary meals and intense fat. Neutrogena has helpful products for countless pores and skin kinds, yet you ought to circulate on your loved ones well-being care provider or dermatologist if the products do not help.

If you want to firm up, then you're actually going to gain weight with the muscle you're wanting to add.

It's not the number on the scale that matters. It's your body mass index that does.

ur bmi seems ok to me. you can tone up by getting a swiss ball (those big air-filled balls where u can sit on them). try doing many different exercises for about 15 mins everyday. you can get some tips about how to do these exercises on the web or if u buy the ball, they'll usually come with an instruction manual (with various types of exercises to make u look slim).

Good luck!

some ways are to drink more water and eat smaller portions of food.but when you do eat stretch it out through out the day, your body is able to digest it better if you don't eat a big meal.
you can also try jump rope, I have heard that jump rope is very good, you only need like 15 or 20 min. a day to get results.

That's really an ideal weight for you...I mean, exercise is good for you anyway, but don't go crazy with it. You can get some Tai-Bo videos and exercise to that...Billy Blanks will give you quite the workout! :)
