Because he's just a little less stubborn than us.

The whole notion of the all-loving, all-powerful, all-knowing God is so problematic that the notion of free will had to be invented to explain away objections that started arising to this system.
You must always keep in mind when considering these objections and responses to them that religion has long been a powerful tool of the state. America was one of the first places to do away with capital punishment for religious thought crimes. Today, huge portions of America would like to bring us back to the bad old days our founders, wealthy, comfortable men, fought a revolution to help end.
Back to free will - this should explain away all critiques of the obvious flaws/contradictions of AL/AP/AK God model, right? Well, no.
First, can you posit the existance of free will when, for example, you can look around a college classroom and notice that virtually every person is wearing the same basic garments or when you drive to an event for children and notice row after row of nothing by minivans in the parking lot? Or when you're born in the middle of desert nowhere to a mom and dad with AIDS and christian soldiers rampaging through with machetes night after night?
But, I'd like to argue that, even if this free will thing exists - what kind of a God is so self-centered that millions of people he has created will suffer in agony for eternity because he only wants those who freely love him to get into heaven?
I think people who created this kind of feeble, attention-seeking, petty God do a real disservice to any true origin, source, or creator that might exist. As if it would care.

God gives us a life guidance and gives also a free will to choose the right path or the wrong peth and know its consequences. If God makes all of us be good person our lives will be boring or monoton,no challenges,no punishment and unfair. It is fair if someone who chooses the right path goes to heaven and someone who selects the wrong path goes to hell..God has a tool for judging us in the resurrection day..

We ALL are made good. There is nothing as innocent as a baby. It's the growing up, deciding for ourselves, that get us in trouble. We get to choose whether we will make the right decisions and go to heaven or not.

Most of us believe we are being good already, so it doesn't really matter what religion says about what they believe will happen to us after we die as a result of our goodness or lack thereof. I think the consequences of our actions proves whether we are being good or not and we will experience the results right away. No god or heaven needed!

He created us with a free will. If we want to be bad and rebel against him and live for ourselves, that's our prerogative. Of course, we will have to answer for our actions when we stand before Jesus Christ on Judgment Day.
And we can't "go back to Heaven" because we haven't been there yet.

Because we didn't come from Heaven. We were designed to live forever on Earth. As for making us all Good, we all have goodness inside us, but choose not to utilize it. Evil does not exist, but is a lack of utilization of Good.

Theres something called SIN ... and sin cant enter to heaven. Cause its againts God's nature, even if he wanted it he could not do it.
Thats why he sent Jesus, because when theres sin, theres death. Someone have to die, thats why we all die, God first purpose for men was to live forever. Thats why people from israel used to sacrifice lambs for God forgiveness, and thats why Jesus is called the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.

if God made everyone good, then everyone would know God exists. If everyone knew God exists, then we wouldn't have faith, we would just know. and if we knew that, than we couldnt have choice, and if we cant have choice, then we aren't people. Have you seen the Matrix??? Most of the time it's best to know, but sometimes not knowing is best, and that is why God is who he is.

Because if everyone is good, we wont be what we are today.
So that we ourselves will find the straight path.
God has given us the revelations. Its up to us to believe it or not.
