Yes. I have a German Shepherd that I imported from Hungary and i've trained him in German, English, and Czek commands. I have another that i have trained with German and English commands only. And i have one in English commands only. So, yes, it is possible but it might take a little time for him to fully understand the difference. If she used hand signals as well as verbals, it would be easier. The dog would just need to associate the signals with the new words. If not, it will take some getting used to by both of you.

You may think a dog understands human commands based on the language used. In reality, the dog deciphers its master's message via body language. You can speak to the dog in English and it'll pick up your cues in no time as long as you use actions or gestures when you are verbalising your instructions. By the way, my old dog understands English, Cantonese, Tagalog and jibberish baby language. He used to listen to only English words with his previous owner.

yes why not...just feed the dog with its fav food...when the dog was about to grab the food from your hand, you can teach it the "sit" command by pressing its body down and say "sit"...and when the dog follow your sit command, always reward the dog with the food.

Do this for a few days, im sure the dog will understand the commands...thats the way i taught my doggy at home =)

Regards, Joey.
