I use to smoke and I needed a cigarette at least every 2 hours or I got light headed-and while trying to quit it made me irritable. Since I quit I feel better, smell better, and just feel better about myself. I can walk up steps and breathe easier I gained a little weight but kept myself active so the weight gain was minimal.
Looking back I can't ever believe I started smoking. I was going to Church and it made me feel like a hypocrite and a liar when my pastor seen me lighting one up while driving down the road one day.
Please quit-you will feel better and live longer and you will become a better ambassador for Christ. It took a long time to become and addict and it will take much less time to turn it back around. God Bless!

No, I do not feel light-headed when I finally get to smoke. I've made it on 15-16 hour plane trips from California to Sweden without a cigarette and immediately lit up upon leaving the airport without feeling this effect.
I would imagine you are feeling it because your body is suddenly having to adjust to less oxygen. If you take a deep breath and get oxygen, neat. But if you take a deep breath (drag of a cigarette) and get a chemical cocktail and smoke, well, I would imagine that would effect your body's ability to carry/distribute some amount of oxygen.

No, not normally. I think it has to do with your brand, whether its a light or full flavor, and how your body metabolizes nicotine. The only time I can say this happens to me is if I'm hungover. I also have been smoking about 1-2 packs of Marlboro Reds a day for the last 7 years, but have smoked for about 9 or 10. I also work out daily and ride my bike so that could have an impact also. I also play beach volleyball and full court basketball.... I'm one of those annoying "healthy" smokers :-P time to light up!!

Yes, I used to have the same thing when I smoked a long time ago, but I finally managed to quit. It was the best thing I ever did for my health. I hope the same for you someday if you ever feel that the time is right.
