I agree that it's Illegal. Immigration should be governed by the old Ellis Island rules.

My grandfather came here from Europe in 1906. To pass through to New York, he had to have a trade, a sponsor, a place to live, and a clean bill of health.

That's not unreasonable these days. I'd expect the same if I wanted to move to another nation. And I'd expect to learn the language and become a citizen in a reasonable time frame, too.

(BTW--everyone who wants to sneak into the US isn't a victim of "political oppression" either.)

Illegal immigration is only as illegal as the enforcement of the law. When something supposedly "illegal" isn't prosecuted, it may as well not even be on the books.

Look around you. How many illegal aliens do you see in your neighborhood? That's how illegal it is.

it truly is an particularly exciting question. i could never seen it in those words, yet, sure - i think of the base line could be money. unlawful immigrants come to our us of a to paintings and make money to deliver residing house to relatives. even nevertheless a number of their wages could be recirculated here (in the event that they do no longer seem to be on foodstuff stamps, housing counsel or different government help), the vast majority of it is taken out of usa. companies hire unlawful immigrants to shop money by no longer contributing their share of FICA and - extra effective than probably - paying decrease than they could to voters because of the fact the money is paid "decrease than the table". voters are incensed that unlawful immigrants are taking money from them in many, many techniques (accumulating foodstuff, well being, and housing advantages, unfastened training, and and all the different percs our tax money will pay for which includes regulation secure practices, street upkeep, and so forth.). because of the fact immigrants take from those components and make a contribution no longer something, voters could carry the burden by paying bigger taxes.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that any phrase with the word "illegal" in it is referring to something that is illegal.

But we're just a bunch of over indulged, spoiled brats with entitlement issues for bringing up facts like that.

Read the last question I answered, and some of the answers to it if you don't believe that some people have the lack of brains to post crap like that.
