i<32Party,
The living word. Not THE Living Word, but the living word. It goes deep and the words are edifying to the spirit, and the Spirit convicts me, in that they are true. I am so, so very relieved to have confidence in those words.

That Book, the Bible, has given me lessons and peace for over 20 years. I am safe, and they bring me life. Life and safety. Love and knowledge. Peace and contentment. Light and a path for which I will not lack in a direction to go. I shall not have wants.

That's a BIG question! And there's not enough room. But to cut it down to fit. Bible is the guide to living right. Jesus showed it can be done.P.S. Do you realize that though Jesus was beaten and spit on he never complained??? Try putting yourself in his place... acutest,he said nothing to defend himself. Beaten with a Cato'9 tails, didn't complain. forced to drag his own cross, with people tripping him and spitting on him,did not complain. Hands and feet nailed to cross, didn't complain. The only complain anyone heard was" my lord,my lord why have you forsaken me?" Could we have done that???

I sort of like this that Jesus said....."heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away". Knowing that all things we can see now are passing away, and His kingdom never will, I believe the wise thing to do with one's time is pursue the things of God.

bible - complete and utter nonsense.

but, like porno, there are a few good things that can come of it.

take about 1% of it (good teachings/lessons) and throw the rest away for the trash that it is. that's how thomas jefferson felt about the bible and christianity.

bible = 1 book, 1 story (among many books and stories)

Jesus = powerful master / teacher - most have missed his true messages (especially so-called "christians")
