Not enough info. If you know her in person I'm 100% sure she does not want to go to the dance but she still may like you but not like like you. It would be better to talk to her in person, if not then at least on the phone, people react differently in person (its harder to turn a person down in person and on-line you nay just say no because its easier then to think about it). If you talk on line only, she may like you but is not ready to meet you yet. or she hates dances, i doubt it but i had a girl friend who was a lil weird and did not want to go to a dance with me but we still dated.

Ask her to meet you somewhere in person, then she might be more receptive to going with you. Unless you have met her first in person, that's a big step for a first time date, so ask her to just come and meet you somewhere in the mean time.

I don't see where you asked her if she likes you....All I read is if she wanted to go to prom with you and she said she doesn't go to dances.....where does her liking you fit into all this?

Well,it kinda looks as if she's nervous somehow.Maybe she's uninterested,or maybe she just doesn't wanna go,cause of something.You can't really tell just by looking at your small conversation.
