alright, ladies would you date a guy a year younger or older than you? and why is a girl dating a younger guy (by 1 year) really rare?

i haven't dated a guy younger than me, and the oldest was only about a year. reason why i don't usually date younger guys is their maturity level. if a guy can be intelligent and interesting and fun, and not give me a reason to question his age then it's all good...but i'm 20, and have not found any younger guys like that. i'm sure they are out there, i just haven't met them yet....i'll stick with the older guys for now :-)

I honestly want a guy older than me, but if I happen to fall in love with someone younger...who am I to say no? The reason it is rare for a girl to be dating a guy younger, and this is the honest truth, is that guys take longer to mature than women. Its not a knock on guys or anything its just true and that is why a woman usually wants someone older is because hopefully they will be more mature.. Hope that helps.

Yes. I'm open to dating anyone within reasonable limits and a year is not too bad if the guy is younger. Women prefer older guys, or at least they seem to because guys mature slower. I'm sure you've heard that before. The last guy I dated was two months younger and it was great while it lasted. Its about chemistry and that infamous connection two people have..not age.

Yes I would if he's mature enough.
Its not really the age that's such a big deal specially if the difference is just a year, but its the maturity.
Women are more mature than men within their age range.
What is more, a woman dating a younger man might be very rare before but I don't think the same holds true anymore at present.
Just cite demi moore and ashton kutcher. Il take ashton kutcher at any age.

i would deffinately date a guy younger than myself... in fact, i have. It really depends on the maturity level of the guy. If guys my age act live idiots, but the younger ones are the ones acting older, well i'll go for the younger ones. Trust me, i girl likes to know that ur not all about being a kid, she needs a man in her life every once in awhile.

I have always dated guys older than me in search of a guy mature enough for me...I have noticed lately that it is not the age of the guy that would make their maturity any greater. The older the guy and if they are still single is a sign that their maturity is degrading...I have dated guys more than ten years older than me and that have acted ten years younger than me. It may also be the upcoming generation of women being equally or more independent than the generation of young men. Intelligence is one key to finding someone that you can spend quality time with...but without maturity Intelligence may be directed to questionable areas.

My husband is one year and four months younger than I am. He is very mature for his age I guess I can thank the military for that. I can see how some women might find that weird but c'mon once you fall in love age does not matter. and I always dated older guys he wa the first younger guy and look he hooked me.

Once you become an adult you will find dating crosses all barriers I am quite a bit older than you and I have dated a man many years younger, That would not have happened when I was young or raising my son. Life changes

I would date a guy either way...but preferably a guy older. And dating a younger guy is rare, because they usually more immature. And no girl wants an immature guy.

Sure I would and have. I'm actually usually olser than the guys I dated. But usually girls go for older guys cuz they get the impression that they aren't as immature and could better protect them. But a lot of times girls go for younger guys(not too young) because they have more energy in bed.
