send me so much hatemail here?

Is it really that offensive to say that god is fake, jesus never existed, and the bible is nothing but fairy tales?

accessmemorex,

Yep, history totally shows that we've only been around for 7,000 years, that there's an invisible man with super powers that created everything bc he got bored, that a 600 yr old drunk built a boat big enough to hold two of each animal and sail around for 40 days while the world was flooded, and etc.......

Yep, makes perfect sense......you disgust me.

No, but they'll take it as offensive because they're set in their beliefs, even if many of them make no sense.

Yes and no. It is more concern over your state of mind. To say Jesus never existed when the world acknowledges he did makes you appear delusional. If you're not delusional then you are being deliberately disrespectful and the natural response in not to show you any respect. That is something that has to be earned!

Christians have a saying: You sow what you reap. In other words you get what you deserve. God bless you and help us all.

Most people who say the things you are saying are looking for the truth. Keep searching and I bet you'll have an opportunity to find the "true and living" savior you're looking for. I pray you will find Him soon. Even Paul in the Bible was killing Christians when God captured him by Love. Happy Searching......

I believe that you come to the religion and spiritual section because you are really seeking after God!
God does exist and He loves you so much!

You seem to spend an awful lot of time trying to convince yourself that God does not exist when deep down inside you do know that God does exist!!

Not really, just a little stupid, since there are historical accounts outside of the Bible that talk about Jesus's existence. Ever read the historian Josephus?

A real and true Christian would NOT send you hate mail, because that would disobey the teachings of their Lord and Savior. They might try to win you over and convert you, but they could not be nasty and hateful to you. Sometimes people who merely make a profession get all riled over a few insults, but I do not consider such people to be Christians in fact. If they do, too bad for them.

Saying that stuff to me is not offensive. Common sense.
(Jesus might have existed, as a really good person.)
I know what you mean about the hatemail, weird isn't it?

You sound like a very childish and confused mocker, Pal.

"Knowing this, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts..."
(2 Peter 3:3)

Thanks for proving the bible to be true>

The people that send you hate mail do so because you insult them and their religion. They are not perfect and react in an emotional state.
If you feel that way, why do you deliberately post your views in the religion section? Why are you even looking at questions and anwers in religion and spirituality?

Think about this: Are all religions acceptable to God?

Judg. 10:6, 7: “The sons of Israel again proceeded to do what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah, and they began to serve the Baals and the Ashtoreth images and the gods of Syria and the gods of Sidon and the gods of Moab and the gods of the sons of Ammon and the gods of the Philistines. So they left Jehovah and did not serve him. At this Jehovah’s anger blazed against Israel.” (If a person worships any thing or any person other than the true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, it is evident that his form of worship is not acceptable to Jehovah.)

Mark 7:6, 7: “He [Jesus] said to them [the Jewish Pharisees and scribes]: ‘Isaiah aptly prophesied about you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far removed from me. It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach as doctrines commands of men.”’” (Regardless of whom a group profess to worship, if they hold to doctrines of men instead of the inspired Word of God, their worship is in vain.)

Rom. 10:2, 3: “I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.” (People may have God’s written Word but lack accurate knowledge of what it contains, because they have not been taught properly. They may feel that they are zealous for God, but they may not be doing what he requires. Their worship is not going to please God, is it?)

So what you are calling Christians, maybe they are not!
