Yes. Christianity is the only religion that classifies Heaven and Hell, with God ruling Heaven and Satan ruling Hell. According to mythology Satan was Gods' second in command. When God chose his son Jesus Christ to take the throne at his right side Satan led a revolt. He and the other "Fallen Angels" had their angel wings clipped and were banished to Hell since it was the farthest place from Heaven. Only people who believe in Satan, and therefore believe in God, worship Satan. Making it a branch of Christianity.

excellent question indeed.
I read the satanic bible by Anton LaVey once when i was a kid.
it seems the officially recognized religeon is much more like a group therapy for former christians than anything else. They are trying to vex thier belief system by performing taboo acts. Thus all Satanists under this certain orthodoxy I read about are/were Christians.
To say the least I was really disappointed being one kid interested in the occult and finding something grotesque...I found that its just some sort of lame therapy thing some people actually practice.
I am sure there are other forms of devil worship out there. this is the only one I know of and what is its purpose.

Satanists do not believe in the Bible. The official church of Satan simply uses his name to sound anti-institutional (which they are) and piss off christians. They do not actually worship the biblical satan in any way.
I suppose there might be actual people that worship Satan, but usually a satanist means above.

'Satanism', understood in a modern context, is a religion/large-cult where Self is worshiped and personal will is thought to be in control of the universe (not divine will). La Vey and his cronies are responsible for it and all it ammounts to is a crude re-writing of Crowley's more elaborate Thelemite literature. Demon-worship can occur within Christianity, but the worshiper, to be a Christian of any kind, must not only believe in the reality of Christ, but have accepted Him as his Saviour. That's what a Christian is.

Heck no! Christianity is when you accept Jesus as your personal savior. Satanists worship Satan and go against Jesus. Hence the word "Satanist"

satan is a part of the judaism as well. A satanist worships satan, not jesus; so, no they wouldn't be christian.

Great question! If they believe that Jesus is the savior for those who call themselves Christians, then I would say Satanists are also Christians because they recognize Jesus Christ in this manner.
I have no religion, nice unbiased answer.

Ironic, isn't it--the Christians are the ones who believe in Satan. They have to believe in Satan to believe any of their religion.
