Religious types want to try and run our country, whats-her-name holed up in that church is an example situation. What's YOUR take, will the bible-thumpers try to fiddle with immigration policy?

I think that instead of asking questions here, you should go to the library and read a wide variety of books so you can overcome your blatant ignorance.
I read in another post of yours, that you are asking when is Mexico going to pay back the aid loans. Mexico ALWAYS pays pack. Mexico as a nation stands in good credit because it is current with its payments. That is why it gets loans.
Now, addressing the US/Mexico war, I guess I'll need to dedicate a few minutes of my life to cure your lack of knowledge.
That war that happened between 1845 and 1848 was an abhorrent act of violence inflicted upon an innocent nation.
THe US had ben a country for many years, they had an organized goverment, army, resources, and they knew what they wanted to do (which was stealing half of the territory of another nation).
Mexico had just came out of it's long idependece war, which lasted 10 years, and was having trouble to organize it's own government when it was invaded and attacked without a solid reason.
There wasn't a real negotiation of the terms to end the war, it was simply "accept this misserly amount of money for half your territory, or lose it all".
Mexico had to accept.
If I were American, I would be greatly ashamed of even bringing that war up.
Mexico has a non-religious goverment, and it receives no help from The Vatican, which is simply recognized as any other nation.

Now, you are asking how much people gave to the Catholic church this month. I can only tell you that is none of your business, each individual is free to support any religious institution of their choice.

Bible thumpers are busy trying to run the personal lives of everyone else in the country. They don't really have time to do something that might actually make a difference.

hardtack is sooo correct!! that woman, what's her name, wants to be the patron saint of the illegal immigrants from mexico and opppss, dont forget the children...i stopped going to church when this foreign priest start giving a sermon in favor of illegal immigration. that did it for me. no more wrestling with my sense of compassion...it has been decided for me. do not give me the crap of do good and no evil when at the same time they have covered up and protected the pedophiles in their midst..i almost walked out but i didn't but never came back, but no, i am not even close to being agnostic...and before i forget the money that you would have contributed would probably go to the the legal defense fund of children molesters preaching "brotherly love" to illegal immigrants. Watch the documentary..."Deliver Us From Evil" the movie.

Once, while living in a small village in Mexico, a catholic woman shout insults a t me just because I didn't give her money for them to make a celebration to the virgen de Guadalupe
I told her take it easy.Think about this: would Jesus Christ insult me just because I don't want to contribute to help a religion that I don't agree with?
She walked away and were still shouting obscene words at me
For that and other reasons I cannot support a religion of falsehood
