Yes 97% of the time tattoos on the stomach, (even on the sides), pelvis area the tattoos will not look as good as they did before the pregnancy. The skin stretches which causes the tattoo to stretch then when you have the baby and loose the weight the tattoo will be messed up because it was stretched out. Sometimes it is just not that noticeable other times its really noticeable.
I would suggest getting the tattoo elsewhere or wait till you make sure you had all the kids you are going to have. Sometimes the tattoos can be fixed which will cost you more money, other times there is no way of fixing it unless you get it removed which cost more money.
Good Luck! :-)

If your tattoo sits anywhere that your belly expands and stretches to accommodate the baby it will lose its shape and form. The tattoo will not look the same as the skins elasticity is stressed thereby stretching and deforming the tat. It can also cause fading due to the stretching. I would consider very carefully tattoing anywhere in that area if your going to be having children. I have 13 tats of my own but none in that area. Good luck and love the ink your in.

i would of thought so. this is what i found!
Usually , during pregnancy, a tattoo in the pelvic area will stretch. After pregnancy, when the body takes its original shape, the tattoo will return to normal. Stretch marks can damage a tattoo, but repairs are usually possible. Building muscle (significant muscle) can cause a tattoo to look distorted in certain areas of the tattoo.

Any skin around your hips and belly is going to stretch when you get pregnant. There really is no way to avoid it, except to not get your tattoo there.
