I had one that was just like that. too much juice can cause diarrhea. there are a few tricks that you can try. Try watering down the juice. you may need to start with a high concentration of juice to water and work down(oh you may want to make sure your child doesn't see you do this mixture if he's anything like mine). also you can try buying the flavored waters.... sometimes having their own "special water" will help get them to drink water.

My kids would only drink milk if it was flavored at first so we used ovaltine or isnstant breakfast so that they were getting nutrition with their milk(instant breakfast comes in many flavors). If you are really concerned about the diarrhea call her doctor.
good luck (mom of 4 ages 14,13,11, and 5 one very picky kid)

Give your toddler water if he or she has diarrhea, you do not want to risk dehydration by continuing to give juice. A little pedialyte or gatorade will help keep your toddler hydrated.

What kind of juice is giving him diarrhea? Apple juice can be harsh on little stomachs.

Give your toddler white grape or a white grape peach juice, which are easier to digest. Water-down the juice for your toddler. Also, try to replace the juice with just water. You may be surprised.

That is very possible. Juice(even 100% juice) is loaded with sugar and is not good for a toddler to drink more than 4oz a day. Studies have shown a link between childhood obesity and drink lots of juice as a lil kid. If he must have it..you could always water it down.

This is what i do and it still works, I 50/50 juice with water, I am almost at 25/75 and they don't care. The are actually choosing water now! Also I think your baby may need some electrolyes which you get from gateraid etc... if he has diarehha a lot, water won't help, also pedialite has electiclights, sorry about the spelling (no spell check on this thing:))

I dilute my toddler's apple juice 1/2 water, 1/2 juice & they don't know the difference.

juice is very acidic and full of sugar so therefore, it needs to be hard on little tummies...

limit the amount you give him to only 1-2 glasses a day-this might upset him but he'll soon adjust as long as you stick with it. when you do give it to him-dilute it with water. 1/2 water, 1/2 juice-my kids never noticed the difference.

the rest of the time give him milk or water.

my girls are ages 4,5 and 7 and they still complain about not getting juice that often but i refuse to give it to them-the sugar can rot their teeth and it doesn't have much nutrition value to it

My 18m old refused to drink water for a few months. Scared that the lack of floride may effect his teeth, I started giving him crystal lite. He got the taste he wanted and the water in. If you cannot get your child to drink milk just give him/her extra cheese and yogurts to make up for the calcium. And I am sure your little one with get over this in a few months.

It probably is giving him diarrhea; stop giving it to him. When he gets thirsty enough he will drink milk or water like he should be drinking anyway.

Too much juice is bad! Give them no more than 4 oz a day. It can lead to rotten teeth and diabetes.
