i cant believe someone would actually say that! i mean, me im a 3rd child, but how can ppl say that its wrong to have more than one baby?

lol. yeah. what i have to say about it is kids make adults.

okay, that girl must have not done her research. but, that "ban" caused more infant deaths and more abandoned children than it would have been if there was no ban! since, china's people were only able to have one child, all they wanted was to have a son. so that they will be able to pass on the family name. if they had a daughter first they would kill the baby or leave it on the street to die. most of the time, they would keep their daughter and try for another baby, if the second child was a boy, they would abandon their daughter on the streets. how could she say something like that, and think that everything was okay? that makes me mad! she has no idea how much suffering that "ban" caused china!

I dont necessarily think that person was saying that it is wrong to have more than one baby. This person is obviously informed about the overpopulation of the Earth and the limited resources it offers. This is a frightening thing. My children may face a very scary world when they grow up because people arent doing enough to help the Earth care for the people who live here. We're just destroying the planet and making the situation worse.

Having said that, Im not sure that a ban on pregnancy is the answer. It may help some, but I think that we need to drastically alter our environmental policies before it's too late.

What people need to realize is that it all balances out! Some people have 3-4 children...while others have none. Speak for yourself (person who posted the other question) if you only want one child, but don't tell others what to do. Countries like Italy and Japan have serious negative population growth right now. They think that in 50-60 years, Japan will have HALF its current population...and you know why? Families have too few children. Grrrr...

it is something that extremely takes me lower back. while i became in college, a number of my pals and that i've got been in simple terms sitting around in our dorm, chatting, eating some beer and getting blazed. of direction, each and every so often while adult men party, we've interaction in burping contests or farting contests. We then have been given right into a heated debate approximately what could take place if somebody farted onto a open flame. some have been saying that it may be like a "blow torch" result, and others stated that became a fantasy. ok well i have always thought that people are entitled to their own opinions and i still do. but that is rediculous.
if someone decides to have more than one child then good on them. if they only want one or dont want any then good on them also.
i am the eldest of four childeren and i couldnt imagine not having my brother and sisters around to grow up with.
i am also pregnant with my second baby and i wouldnt mind another baby in say 3 years or when ever we are ready for another one.
again everyone is entitled to their opinions and try not to be offended but what she said.
my personal opinion on her comment was that she sounds rediculous

I agree that the world is overpopulated and people shouldn't overbreed. Two children is sufficient. I am a third child and still feel that way. Do we really want to keep putting more strain on the world?

When I was a child, I said I didn't want any children when I grew up.

When I was 20, I said I still didn't want any children.

I'm post-menopausal, now, and STILL don't want any children.

Its certainly not wrong to have more than one child(ive had 3). If you dont want any children,or more than one, dont get pregnant. What is wrong is getting pregnant and having an abortion and using the poor excuse,the world is overpopulated.

That is crazy. I am a fifth child and I have three of my own. Who is she to say that. Some people actually have children because they want tjo take care of them.
