Im dying my hair friday. Ive always had blond..bright bright blond and ashy blond and even yellow blond with ashy blond hight lights and bright blond hight lights. Im wanting to go darker...what should I do?

Start by getting low lights.......but if you want it to be more dramatic then go to a professional.......because if you try to do it yourself you will mess up......trust me i know this im a hairdresser.......that way your stylist isnt stuck fixing what you did, and you can save your money, instead of being charged for the mess you made.

Do not do this all at once, meaning go from blonde to brunette or darker in fell swoop.
Have the underneath part of your hair colored the color you want (brunette, etc.) and have the top hair colored closer to what you are now. In time, take out the lighter color so the darker shade you chose becomes your main color.

If you don't want a big change to fast then gradually add darker high lights until you have a darker base and work with that .

Just do it, brunettes are so instyle. Also, it is better to do it now because things in the future are always changing so go with the flow. You will feel so refreshed and cool. Good Luck!

If you want to gradually do it, get lots of streaks in a darker shade. Have them weave it through your hair uinstead of just dyeing the who;le head. But dark hair is in!

Why not try a light brown with honey and blond highlights.
