We only have a short time on this planet. But i'd hate to think that my full potential has only one lifetime to fully flourish and that if i miss one oppurtunity people will never know me for who i truly am. Why are we here if we only have such a short ammount of time to maximize our potential and make use of it? Surely some other place exists when we die a place where all of this would of meant something.

I'm not a religious person - i don't feel i have to be. But i certainly hope there will be a place to reflect on EVERYTHING when we die - whether it's a stereotypical view of Heavan or not, i don't know. But i just want a place where we can all exist together, minus the time limit. That would be Heavan to me.

Sorry for being so weird, i'm just having one of those moments right now.

To Joseph.

But if what happens now is all there will ever be... what is the point? If we don't live on in some other form then there will be nobody here to remember us when this generation has died out. Not even WE would be in existence to remember ourselves. Unless something happens when we die, something to give what happens here meaning - it'll all be for nought. But that's not to say i do things because i believe i'll be rewarded.

card shark, I am the life of the body,I have lived before and i will live when this body is gone. I am a HUE-MAN being, spirit,a being of light, made in the image and likeness of GOD. a HOLOGRAPH OF GOD. my purpose is "being". ALL OF GODS CREATION IS BUT GOD EXPRESSING HIS VISION OF HIMSELF. in the end we all merge back into GOD, as a raindrop into the sea. we are one with GOD in the divine light of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

From one perspective life is neither long nor short. You live each moment. The past is just memory and the future is imagination. The only life you have is the one at this instant now.

From a Buddhist perspective, there are many 'afterlives', but none of them are some kind of eternal retirement home (I guess the heavens are the closest to that).

The practical advice is to attempt in the here and now to expand the limits of your consciousness so that you develop the sense of existing all together. Although I've very rarely experienced it, being fully absorbed seems to stop time.

life is long and not short. it has a perspective of being short as are bodies are at there best when we are between the ages of 22-31. the rest we age until we are old and grey. so, that is a short time of 9 years. but say if we were alive 300 years ago. we would not have the opportunities of today as we are so advance as human beings. as we have the Internet, phones, cars, we gone to the moon. being alive right now while we have only really just started to live in a world of technology is the greatest time in history. as there is so much to do, so many opportunities we believe that life is a lesson, but is 1 big long lesson, and when you die its all over. so, live life and grab it by the fu. cking neck because are chance is now. we wont be alive in 100 years. and if there is such a thing as heaven, we're already here. and personally i don't believe in god, but if there is such a being, it wont help us when we're alive, its so important to realise this. thankyou

There is no POINT in living. We are born,we live,we die.If you can do something to help your fellow man along the way, good luck to you.
Don't worry about what other people think about you or how they will remember you, just try to be the best person you can be.

Now, my friend it is beleived that
There are four Yonis (possiblity of form of re-birth)
a. Dev yoni (birth in Heaven)
b. Manushya yoni (birth as a man)
c. Tiryanch yoni (birth as an Animal)
d. Narak yoni (birth in hell)

After death based on your karmas( your deeds) you would be re-born in any of these yonis.

The life expectancy there is said to be about in
a)above 10,000 years b) small (presently about 100 years), c)small and d)about 10,000 years

This cycle of birth and death is endless until You attain Nirvana / Moksha (eternal - peace ,energy, bliss) such soul are referred to in unison as "god".(This belief is being propagated in various religions in there own methods and ways)

SO BE GOOD & DO GOOD (good deeds = good karmas)

God is real and heaven is real.
Hell is real also.
The only way to heaven is through Jesus, His Son.
The ONLY reason we are here is to win as many people as we can to Jesus.
There is no time in heaven. It will last for eternity!
Where do you plan on spending eternity?
Smoking or non smoking?
