When in his two terms in office has George Bush made any right decisions. Of course this fence is an idiots idea. What can you expect from him, don't expect much you won't get much.

Well if Governor Bill Richardson talks like a Mexican about the fence been an idiocy, I do agreed with him, but if he's talking like an American, governor of New Mexico, an American state, then I have to disagree. I think that Mr. Bob Richardson and many Americans have to decide who are they going to protect the illegals coming through our borders or the American people. We the American people have to be very clear about these issues. The fence have to be built because Mexico do not want to do nothing about their citizens. The Mexican government just want to send them across the border to the USA and that's not right.

The fence is a joke, it's like trying to dam a river but only build half of it in the middle. You succeeded in spending a ton of money and made all the contractors happy but the flow is still getting through.

Fence is a good idea, high, long, and electrified if necessary. New Mexico's governor needs to be voted out and get an American governor.

Yes, if you want to stop people from coming to the US to work start to punish the employers. A fence is such a waste of money. Does the Bush Administration own or have stock in a fence company, oh wait, Haliburton will be asked to build it awarded to them in a no bid contract.

I agree, but the question is moot. Apparently congress, in its usual hypocrital manner, has already decided that it will not even be built. This way they can show that they support all sides of the issue. ("Yes, we have voted to curb illegal immigration." "Yes, we voted for the fence but we have made certain that it won't be installed." "See how clever we are - our constituents are too stupid and powerless to do anything about hypocracy and corruption!")

The money for the fence has been put in Bush's hands, to provide funding in whatever way he wants, including a 'virtual fence' to be established by one of his favorite campaign contributors.

Not at all.

The concept is a sound one and needs to be expanded to monitor our borders.

Immigration needs to be documented, controlled and directed.
That should be obvious.
