Over the counter eye drops for moisture are fine- for redness long term is not good- they constrict the blood vessels in the eye reducing the redness- and unfortunately the blood flow too- not good long term. There are different kinds of eye drops for different things-dryness, redness, allergies and more-D

Depends on the issue of your eyes. If you have consistently dry eyes, there are special drops that you can get that are close to "natural tears". If it is just for dryness, I'd say the rule is anything in moderation. Eyedrops cause constriction of the blood vessels just underneath, so it "whitens" them. Be careful, and if you have to use them alot, you could have chronic dry eye syndrome- see an opthamologist.

eye drops in general will help relieve dry eyes and irritation caused by allergens and air and etc.

they make them for contacts which help them to stay moist and fresh so they do irritate your eyes

but eye drops are safe otherwise they wouldnt be out on the market

the best kind to use varies on what your eye is irritated from.

all the brands use essentially the same mixture of drugs but take a look at the drug store and see which one fits your need to help your eyes

using eye drops every day could possible be harmful to your eyes. if you suffer from dry eye syndrome, there are special prescription drops called Restasis to help with that. if you still choose to use over the counter drops, then the visine tears are the safest. they dont have any extra additives that can eventually irritate the inner membranes of your eyes.

It depends on what youre needing them for. I use regular Visine for red eyes, and Moisturizing drops for dry eyes. No, they arnt bad for you.
