I love to climb trees and have been doing a lot of tree work lately. It seems that everytime i get up around 40-50 feet i get really nervous and climb slow and possibly make more mistakes that when i am confident on the ground. Does anyone have advice for getting over the fear of heights or to make this easier. Thanks

If there's any way to get over the fear of heights, i haven't found it after 30 yrs of climbing. Best advice i can give is to invest in a good harness and decelerator in case of a slip. Good quality safety equipment may give you a little more confidence and help overcome some of the fear.

you should check out logger sports at a collegiate level. a friend of mine got a 2 year scholorship for doing similar things.

also, there are shows, like the lumberjack show in Ketchikan, Alaska who pay well for such things....

But if you want to get over your fear of heights, go rock climbing outside :-D

properly, it provides them stability and enables them if their terrified of heights. It builds up their potential of their hands and legs. It additionally has risks. they'd fall out of the tree and harm themselves. Or in the event that they get mad at their mothers and dads they'd climb up there and cover and supply their mothers and dads coronary heart assaults. yet, tree mountaineering would be exciting and effective for babies, any age.

Whenever a fellow climber claims to not be afraid, I stay as far away from them as I can.
