Yes, the bleeding hearts (like Jane Fonda) cried to get attention and we must not forget media's role of false reporting and blowing everything out of proportion just for ratings -- they are doing the same thing now. Support our troops in the mid east so we can keep the war there and not here!!
Good answer Devildriver, we do need to vote accordingly--the liberals will bring this war with the terrorist home to us.

In 1969 the war in Viet Nam seemed endless, so the United States began to withdraw. In 1973 a treaty was reached between North and South Viet Nam, despite this, fighting resumed, and the United States did not return. As far as Mexico, no, they're not kicking our butt.

Viet Nam didn't defeat America, Politicians trying to play General and getting in the way of pure military victory is what defeated us in Viet Nam.

If I had to guess.......I'd say you don't know what you're talking about. You sound so positive in your assumptions......Were you in Viet-Nam, your views are first hand........I didn't think so. As far as Mexico goes......Do you base your opinions on the fact that people are getting into our country, constituting an invasion? From everything you've said......A person might think you dropped out of school at sixteen(16), you've failed World Affairs miserably......Do some reading friend.........LATER

viet nam didn't kick our butt. We kicked our own by not finishing the task at hand. Nixon screwed that up. We will do the same thing in Iraq if we don't open the can whoop-a.s.s. back up. A conservative cost us VN and the Liberals are costing us Iraq and our own country.

we basically won in vietnam. they threw just about everything they had left during the tet offensive practically exhausting themselves. the enemy could not keep or compete in a war of attrition. then politicians had us leave.
this is the true trajedy in vietnam.
the same thing happened in korea and is why there exists a state called north korea.
again the lives of servicemen were dishonored by quip decisions of convenience.
mexico/mexican illegal immigration rather is an issue im sure many lament to have to deal with but we are slowly becoming motivated to have to acknowledge to have to do something about. its a different situation altogether and I think it would be construable to compare the old conflict vs current domestic issues as slander on your part.

The idea that we lost in Vietnam is a misnomer. The U.S. was already out when South Vietnam fell. The person responsible for the pull out: President Richard "I Am Not A Crook" Nixon.

we never lost a battle in Nam. The leftist loonies and communist sympathizers like Jane Fonda defeated us. Nobody is kicking our butt and the US needs to enforce it;s own laws.

They are not kicking our butts, they are becoming part of the country and will soon outnumber us and take the country right out from underneath us. And we didn't lose the vietnam conflict, we just didn't win.
