Are you planning on buying it where you're at right now (purchasing the weapon from a German store if in Germany)? If so, I don't recommend it. The ATF Form takes about 6 months to get approval so that you can import it to the US.

If you are talking about ordering the weapon online, and having it delivered to a dealer in the US so that you can pick it up when you arrive, you will have to go direct to the dealer. In order to purchase a weapon, you need to provide proof of age. The dealer may accept a deal to hold the weapon until you can come in to the shop, but that's a deal you have to make with the dealer.

Ck out www.stategunlaws.org. According to that site there is no waiting period. but how will you get the gun back to your residance. You can not take it on a plane. and if you are traveling by car or bus and you cross state lines. There will be alot of problems for you if you are stopped and searched. You may want to think about this. If you are caught taking a firearm into another country they WILL put you away for a very long time. Not to mention they will not treat your very well.

You have two different issuses. #1 The gun laws of the other nation & do they allow the importation of arms. As for comming here and buying it? There would be a question of KY Residency. However as long as you meet the backround checks I don't see a problem.
