Good grief. Get off the friggin' computer and use some common sense. Call 911 or get him to the hospital. Don't come looking for answers from a bunch of strangers.

First, YOU TAKE YOUR FRIEND TO THE HOSPITAL!!! If it's bleeding bad enough, and you can't get him there, get a handful of flour, and put that on the wound. As for your carpet, I use this for clothing. It's easy. Just do this:

Cover the stain in peroxide. Then use a pretreater stick on it, let it sit for awhile (I like to wait at least overnight. If you don't wait long enough, it won't come completely out, and you'll have to do it again), or even a week or longer, and wash it like you normally would the next time you wash clothes. The stain will come out, no matter how old it is, or how many times it's been through the dryer. Works for me every time! Easy, almost no time or work involved, and only takes a minute!

I know you asked about carpets, so if you could keep anyone that's a little too curious (i.e. small children, animals, etc) away from it, you could try it on the carpet, then get a carpet cleaner and use that on it. I haven't tried this on carpet, but it should work there, also

Apply direct pressure to the site of the wound. If the pellet is still in the wound, have a professional remove it unless the pellet it very close to the surface of the skin and you can easily get it with tweezers. Wash the wound with soap and warm water and apply a sterile bandage. To get the blood out of the carpet, you will probably have to pretreat it with an oxygenated cleaner (Resolve makes one) and scrub with a stiff brush. Don't let the stain sit for too long or it will set and be impossible to remove completely.

Afraid to do the right thing and go to the hospital? I wouldn't even be thinking about Yahoo Answers if I was in your position. First things first, apply pressure to the wound...it will stop bleeding. Secondly, cold water on the stain, get a towel and soak up as much as u can. Before it can dry, get club soda and pour that on the spot. Once again, with a towel soak up as much as u can.

Do the obvious. Call 911 and take care of him while you wait. Use one of those spray things that you spray on the carpet to get stains off.

Put pressure on it and wrap it tightly with some sort of cloth. Cold water will get the blood out. If you use warm or hot water, it will set it into the fabric.
