Some puppies noses are like that but if he has a runny nose he could have abit of a cold but A dry nose is often seen as a sign of illness in dogs and cats but sometimes it isn't, it could be just your puppy. Heres something about your puppy's runny nose. Anytime your pet shows signs of a "runny nose" -- one that has discharge coming from the nostrils -- should be examined by your veterinarian. Coughing, sneezing and difficulty breathing can be signs of anything from a respiratory infection to a nasal foreign body to a tumor in the nasal passages. Animals that show these signs (more than an ocassional cough or sneeze) should be seen by your veterinarian. Hope this helped, good luck!

The "wet nose means healthy" thing is a myth. Not all dogs have wet noses when they're healthy. Sometimes there can be extra tissue on the nose that keeps it feeling dry. (Dogs who have this also have extra tissue on the pads of their feet).

This is not to say that you shouldn't keep an eye on your dog. Take its temperature to rule out fever (anything over 102 is not good) and make sure it's properly hydrated. A simple test for hydration is to take hold of the loose skin on the nape of your dog's neck and lift it up away from the dog's body. Then release it. If the skin snaps back into place, the dog is well hydrated. If the skin goes slowly back into place, or remains pinched up, the dog is dehydrated and needs water immediately.

Well on my opinion even though I am a child, the puppy shouldn't have anything wrong with it, unless it was born wrong. Alot of dogs have dry noses sometimes even mine did. Just in case let her see a vet!

A dog's nose is usually wet...but if they have just woken up from sleeping (which puppies often do) their nose will be dry. There is nothing wrong with your dog.

If your puppy is playing, eating, and has regular stools, she's fine.
A dry nose is not an indication a puppy is sick if it's overall health is fine.
I would worry more if she had a runny nose.

SHe probably isn't sick. Dog's noses get wet fron them licking them, so maybe your puppy just doesn't lick his nose. If you are really concerned, i would take him to the vet.
