no I think we do need a border wall and it needs to monitored and controlled. Plain and simple . We need politicians with a backbone to do something about all of this.

Yes, he is smart enough on this issue to see that immigration is not a simple problem. You don't just build a fence. The Great Wall of China was a fence, so why did if fail? Did you ever look that information up?
Pampered Americans are not going to dodge all the hard stuff while others serve your meals, wash your back and walk your dog for you. Eventually the others well know you better than you know yourself. History is full of those lessions.
The key is that you can not buy everyone else to fight your wars, obey your laws or enforce your rules if you are not living in the same place and conditions that your hired hands are living in, you will one day find your hired hands are pointing guns at you, having you wash the dishes and your dogs will eat your bones.
It may seem a little harsh, but then what do you think Shock and Awe was all about?

No. We have illegal immigration because there are jobs here waiting for the illegals. There are jobs waiting for them because the pay isn't enough for Americans to pay their mortgages, car loans, etc.

If Bush wanted to stop illegal immigration, he'd go after employers who hire illegals. He'll never do that.

No one in Washington D.C. is doing a good job on illegal immigration. And when is Mexico going to be held accountable?

No ,it seems no one is doing a good job on this issue.
I like most American voters will be picking my way thru the party's looking for the best person, with the best plan.Or at least the desire to try to stop this endless flow of illegals into this nation.
No amnesty

I don't think any American president has ever done a good job on illegal immigration. Why do you think it's still a problem?

Hell no. This coming from a conservative who is fed up with the situation. Close down the illegals crossing. Go after employers. NO AMNESTY. If you are not here legally, you can never become a citizen.

I think he's starting to get the idea that the majority of US citizens are largely against free-for-all immigration policy...this is the 21st century...Mexico and other countries need to fix their own problems...

why does anybody care if somebody comes here and wants to work cheap?
i care if they don't speak english!
there are neighborhoods in milwaukee (wisconsin)
where all the billboards and advertising signs in the stores are 100% in spanish.
we voted back 200+ years ago that english was to be our unified national language.
every time i get a computer on the phone the 1st thing i hear is...
'press 1 for english...press 2 for spanish'
either learn the language or go back where you came from!
same for germans, french... anyone...
and the newspapers in arizona have whole sections of the paper written in spanish???
