I am surprised at your question, which is really more a personal statement.
If you are really Mexican-American, don't you have relatives that can explain to you that speaking English is not something you learn over night? It takes years to learn our difficult language, several hours a week at an ESL facility which may be free or with cost.
Here is the reality for you; you work in a back-breaking job 12 hours a day, you go home, eat and rush to class which usually lasts from 7-10 pm. You have to then study and do homework sometime between class and work. Don't forget, you may have a family too, is there time for them?
I suggest you really rethink this issue, you are not fully understanding how difficult it is for the legals and illegals. When you are hungry, need work, want to support yourself and family, are you going to wait years to get a card to work? I think not. I know I wouldn't, I'd swim across a river, walk through a desert, do whatever I had to do to better my life and feed my kids.

So let me see... you think you are better than any other Mexican cuz you are Mexican-American? That's what it sounds like to me. I agree with every single thing madformac said. It is not easy to learn the English language - especially when you are working your butt off and have a family to take care of. They still try - but it is not gonna be learned from one day to the next.

you at the instant are not incorrect for having an opinion. i don't blame Arizona or Georgia for taking the strikes they did with their immigration rules. They could not matter on the federal government to do it is job, so had to take concerns into their very own hands. Our borders must be extra shelter. at present, they don't look to be. I have no problems with their new immigration rules. Texas will never have one see you later as teh RINO Perry is governor. he's already been on public checklist asserting that such methods are "not necessary" right here in Texas.

I agree with the part about learning English, but if you are inside the country illegaly you can't get any permisos, hun. If it was that easy EVERYONE would be legally by now.

Are you a Mexican citizen, or an American citizen? I am against the musical propaganda they use to try and advocate and promote illegal immigration and drug smuggling...

No, I don't think you are wrong to be annoyed by them. But I don't think it's right for people to use others either, even if they are illegal. Two wrongs don't make a right.

No. I think that if you are here illegally or legally that you should learn to adapt and please learn to speak English.
