I am not against all illegal immigrants. those that have come here legally should be allowed to stay. those that we know are undocumented are the ones I have a problem with. if the government offered one thousand dollars to anyone who turned in illegal immigrants would you sign up? but wait, they might want that free money too so they might turn each other in.lol

well dwh, you have americans that can't pass an english exam either. so what do we do with them? and yes I am NOT against any immigrants who entered properly i.e. filled paperwork, waited for approval, given all necessary documents and who legally work and pay taxes. i am AGAINST any illegal immigrant who is not documented, and who work under the table, who have contributed nothing to social security and yet receive benefits.

funny how everyone automatically thinks when i say illegal immigrants they close mindedly assume i am speaking only of mexicans! i don't care where they are from may it be russia, ukrain, germany, canada, china, mexico etc. if they entered illegally may it be a boat, through canada, from mexico. it makes no difference to me, if you entered illegally and work illegally you should not get govt benefits or for that matter government 'perks'. PERIOD! illegal immigrants are not just mexicans.

Funny, you say "I am not against all illegal immigrants. those that have come here legally should be allowed to stay". Well if they're here legally then they wouldn't be considered an illegal immigrant!

I don't get your last sentence about them wanting "that free money too", here in the midwest, when it's 104 degrees with a humidity level of 90%, the immigrants are the only ones you will see outside, up on roofs working their butts off and they don't quit at 2:00 in the afternoon, like the local men would, they work til sun down, rain or shine. I don't know what "free" money you think they get.......... I do wish they could be forced to carry automobile insurance though ;-)

People shouldnt need to be bribed to do what is best for thier country and what is enforcing the law. Thats pretty absurd. The government knows of millions of illegals yet they continue to allow them to stay and not enforce immigration laws. Bush wants to build a fence to solve the problem but if that happens you can guarantee no Americans are willing to do labour and work hard for a low rate, so the illegals will be the ones building that fence. The problem isn't people unwilling to turn people in, the problem is the countries unwillingness to take a stand and do something about it.

Bounties on illegals would not help in my opinion. Senators Mike Spence(IN) and Kay Bailey Hutchinson(TX) have proposed a very sensible bill to regulate the immigration flood, but the last I heard politics was holding it back (democrats say it is not fair, and some republicans say it won't work).

I think that is a good idea. Lower the bounty to $100.00/illegal and I would quit my job and move to southern Texas. I could probably round up at least half a dozen a day and I would make a really good living.

you are not against all illegal immigrants...just those that come here illegally???
do you really think that the legal ones should be allowed to stay?
how high do you want our taxes to go up???
my answer is deport all who cannot pass an English exam...
and give automatic citizenship to those who do pass.
how many came here from Italy, France, Germany, Russia, etc.
but they didn't try to change our LANGUAGE!

I don't think your government could handle all that money, first of all...plus all the time that it would take to investigate bogus claims....no...not a good idea.

We (Sasquatch) have been here longer than anyone! We are all brothers and sisters. To turn in one of our own would be very wrong.

However, you USA folk must figure this out on your own!
