You want to get a hair dye that matches your natural color. Also, make sure that the color has highlights and lowlights in it. No ones natural color is all one color. The sun naturally highlights our hair. They do make home hair dye kits that come with these. The highlights are applied with a small brush after the dye has been applied and rinsed out. If you have darker hair, the high and low lights will be in the same color range as the base color, example: browns with browns, reds with reds, etc.

I'm not sure what the cost will be in your area, but here you can purchase the kit for $19.95 at Wal-Mart. I know that the price is a little more but you can not beat it for a more natural look. Also, by using high and low lights, when your roots start to show, they will blend in more, allowing more time inbetween colorings.

Good luck

the more falls out later???? professionally speaking don't do it at home, please. Save yourself some time and money.. get it done at a beauty shop. The over the counter stuff may cost less but you are going to be doing it alot more. I have fixed so many screw ups on hair color that I cant count. Gray coverage is very hard, but if the beauty shop doesn't do it right then you go back til they do. If you don't do it right, then you have to spend more money at the store. I mean really I only charge 18 to 20 bucks to do a color. The difference cant be that bad where you are,

Depending on your natural colour. If it is lite, Clairol 100% cover 4 grey is pretty good.

Hair-dye is a lot more fool-proof nowadays. L'oreal.. Clairol.. all good brands that cover the majority of gray hair.

try to get a color as close to the color of your hair now. and remeber the more you dye it the more falls out later, but that is if dye it too much.
